Types of injuries
The injuries suffered as a result of an accident are not just on the outside.
Suffering an injury as a result of a car accident or road traffic accident is highly traumatic. You can suffer not just soft tissue injuries to your body, but also head and brain injuries, broken bones, or back or spine injuries to mention just a few. But you can also suffer emotional pain. As a result of a car accident, people often suffer depression, anxiety and fear.
Regardless of whether your road traffic accident was major or minor, we’re here to help you through the process of making a claim.
What about a medical report?
You’re probably thinking, will I need a medical report? The answer is ‘Yes’.
Very often, insurance companies quickly make offers on behalf of the insured party. They don’t want the injured person to get a medical report. Such offers are deliberately made to try and stop victims of accidents obtaining medical reports.
Because a medical report could indicate that the insurer needs to pay a higher amount to the injured party.
We’re here to make sure that you get the damages you deserve. We do this by making sure you get a medical report done by an experienced doctor.
Is all my information kept confidential?
Absolutely! Remember, all the information you give us for fighting your claim is only used for that purpose. We do not share your information with other people not involved with your claim.
What if your accident happened a few months ago?
No problem! You have up to two years to make a claim from the date of your accident. However, please act quickly. Time marches fast. Don’t lose your opportunity to make a claim by running out of time.

What if you’ve been involved in an accident with an uninsured driver?
You’re probably thinking it’s not worth making a claim if the driver is uninsured.
This is not the case. You have protection via the Motor Insurer’s Bureau of Ireland (MIBI). However, there is a requirement that you make yourself available for an interview following an application to an Injuries Board in untraced motorist cases.
We are here to help with guidance during this procedure.
Reporting the accident
If you don’t report the accident, the other parties insurer may deny liability. This would make it more difficult to fight your claim.
When should I instruct a Solicitor?
This way, you still have a clear recollection of the accident when we discuss your case with you. Plus, it’s easier to start tracking down potential witnesses, get CCTV footage, get a professional expert to visit the scene of the accident, etc.
We also save you time by speaking to you and advising as to who is responsible for the accident and what you are rightfully entitled to claim for.
The Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) will not do this on your behalf.
Often insurers will offer to deal with you directly.
Is this to be helpful to you?
They want to deal with you directly as it’s easier. The insurers know you don’t have experience of the legal process. There is no reason why you would. They can make you an offer for damages and tell you it’s a fair and final offer. Would you know if it’s a good offer? Probably not!!!
And that’s why you need to instruct the experts.
What is my injury worth
We are asked this question a lot. But this is a difficult question to answer as each claim is unique in its own way. What we can say with certainly is that the average payment by the Injuries Board in 2018 for a road traffic accident claim was €24,649.
We guarantee the best service and prove it every week.
